iOS and Android Apps

The Perfect Egg Timer mobile apps are designed as local utilities. They do not require an account, do not track you, and do not collect analytics.

Cooking time calculations happen on your device using the values you enter, such as egg weight, starting temperature, target yolk temperature, and altitude. The mobile apps do not collect location data; altitude is entered manually.

If you enable notifications, the app schedules a local notification on your device so it can alert you when the timer finishes. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in iOS or Android system settings. On Android, the app may request exact alarm access so the cooking timer can alert at the intended time while the screen is locked.

If you contact support by email, your email app will send the message you choose to send. That email is used only to respond to your support request.

Website

The Perfect Egg Timer website may collect limited usage analytics to understand general product usage and improve the service. The website may also collect voluntary egg-cooking feedback if you choose to submit it after using the timer.

Website analytics and voluntary feedback are used to improve the calculator and user experience. They are not used to sell personal profiles.
